The DJI Mimo app and the DJI Fly app are the official apps for the DJI Pocket 2 camera. Both provide a user-friendly interface for capturing and editing footage.

The DJI Mimo app offers advanced editing features such as filters, music, and sound effects, while the DJI Fly app is designed for simpler editing and quick sharing.

Additionally, there are also third-party apps such as LumaFusion and Kinemaster which you can use to edit footage from the DJI Pocket 2.

How do I upload my DJI Pocket 2 videos and photos to my Mac?

For transferring your photos and videos from the Pocket 2 to a Mac, you can use the DJI Mimo App, or use an SD card.

With the DJI Pocket 2 adaptor, or in wireless mode, connect your phone and turn on the DJI Pocket 2, this will automatically prompt the DJI Mimo app to launch.

What are the Pros and Cons of the Pocket 2 over similar solutions?

Whilst the DJI Pocket 2 is a solution that is both portable and of high quality, there are other action cameras you may find worth knowing about. Personally, I was especially impressed with the tiny DJI Action 2 camera featured in our aerial photography study with action photographer and drone flying maestro Alen St.Hilaire (you can read the post here).

DJI Action 2c 500

Now, what is striking about this tiny beauty, that is the DJI Action 2 camera, is its pure simplicity in design. This modular action camera, attaches to other accessories magnetically, Is waterproof, shock proof and supports 4K/120fps video, plus it has a super-wide 155° Field of View (FOV).

Now if there are any negatives concerning the Pocket 2, it would be that the battery life could be better, so having some form of backup plan might be necessary. Also, whilst the gimbal stabilization is mostly helpful, in some situations you may need to take extra care, compared to larger more sophisticated gimbal aided devices.

Which Apps are recommended for use with the DJI Pocket 2?

The first App anyone will point you to is the DJI Mimo, as mentioned earlier. However, there are also a number of third-party apps that are compatible with the DJI Pocket 2, some of the most popular ones are included below:

  1. Litchi: A powerful and feature-rich app that offers advanced flight modes and a virtual joystick for manual control.
