So, do you really need to buy a desktop computer after all?
Okay, so you are looking to make a decision on whether to buy a desktop computer with a widescreen display, or go for the lighter laptop option that can be conveniently carried around with you.
Now, as a professional creator; photographer, 3d animator, graphic designer, illustrator or a hands-on content business owner. Although a large screen would make the ideal solution for most creators, a reasonably sized laptop or tablet can also adequately meet most requirements.
What do you think? After all, you can always connect a “widescreen” display to your laptop.

The chances are, from whatever device you are currently reading this post, is either your primary computer or a smartphone. That is, your computer normally from a fixed location, or a portable device such as an iPhone or Tablet.
Now, note how I didn’t mention laptop, well this is because as hinted earlier, a laptop can conveniently serve as both a desktop and portable computer.
The question therefore should perhaps be;

Benefits of a Desktop Workstation
Above all the benefits in using a desktop computer, power and extensibility are the two main areas that are in the forefront of demands. You see, it all really depends on the type of work you do and what additional hardware, software, and processing power you’ll need for maintaining an efficient and smooth-flowing experience.
An obvious example of a creative field that requires a lot of computer processing power and the capability to connect with additional hardware is high-end video production, or even catering to a YouTube video channel.
So, to begin with, you will need to have a computer configured with specifications that provide sufficient processing power and storage for producing high quality video.
Plus you will need the necessary ports for connecting, sometimes, multiple video and audio related peripherals and other devices. Which is why we have focused on Apple’s MacStudio desktop computer.

The Mac Studio comes in a number of configurations; eg. M1 Ultra, M1 Max… and in our expectation, over time, will eventually work itself out in terms of pricing and value for money.
